Olivia's English Blog: Jelousy and relationships

Prompt Response: When I was younger, I used to be very good friends with this girl. We used to hang out every single day after school and we would tell each other everything. After a little while, I began to notice some of her habits. One of which was when she would steal some of the things I would say or retell a joke that I told and pass it off as her own. This used to make me very mad and I decided that I didn't want this to keep happening so I distanced myself from her. Over time, we both matured and we're good friends as of now. I've seen Jelousy do much worse in relationships so I like to consider myself lucky.

Summary: Today in class we started on a project about a short Native American story about a boy with a Jelous father. There are so many elements to the story and project.

Review: Today, I learned that some native American stories have to be reread a few times to understand the theme or even what is going on in the story.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?
