Write about a fear you have overcome.

Prompt Response: I used to be very scared of a ride at six flags called acrophobia. When I was younger, me and my dad used to go to six flags all the time. I vividly remember seeing this ride called "acrophobia". I asked my dad to ride it and he asked me if I was sure, because if I did, I couldn't back out. I decided that the ride wasn't that bad and I got in line. Looking up and watching the ride slowly rise before free-falling made it surreal. I began to overthink and second-guess my decision. The ride came back down in a whoosh and I walked up to my sweet. The ride started up and I felt my body slowly get lifted into the air. Once we were at the top, the seats tilted forward and I couldn't help but look at the ground, far down beneath my feet. I took a deep breath and began to free fall. I felt weightless and and I actually ended up enjoying the ride.

Summary: Today we wrote down different types of claims.

Review: Today I learned that I could differentiate different types of claims.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.
