After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

Prompt Response: In my personal opinion, I think that the Rhetorical device that is most effective is Procatalepsis. Using this device, the speaker or author is able to present the opposing viewpoint, while also addressing how it is not superior or correct. Not only does this strengthen their argument, but it also terminates any doubt of their main point.

Summary: Today we are taking our rhetorical appeals/devices quiz

Reflection: Today I learned that you have to find time in your day to do the things you enjoy.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.
