Chris chooses independence over relationships. When have you chosen to be on your own instead of relying on others? What happened, and would you make the same choice again?

Prompt Response: During a group project, I chose to work by myself because there was an uneven number of people in the class. Ultimately, it was much better than working in a group because I got the chance to do things the way I wanted to, and set everything up according to my own standards. In the end, I ended up getting a very good grade, so I think it ultimately, it was worth it.

Summary: Today we did a review of all of the chapters of Into the Wild.

Reflection: Today I learned that independence is okay, as long as you are cautious and mindful.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?
